Disability & Diversity: A Universal Model for Success in Higher Education

This project was supported by Grant # P333A050020 awarded by the U.S. Dept. of Education – Office of Postsecondary Education. Points of view in this website are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official position or policies of the U.S. Department of Education. In summary, American colleges and universities are becoming increasingly diverse in terms of gender, age, ethnicity, and disability. The Disability & Diversity Project is based on the premise that students with disabilities often present similar programmatic and instructional challenges and opportunities to postsecondary administrators, faculty, and staff as non-traditional students.

The Disability & Diversity Project goal is to enhance the knowledge and skills of administrators, faculty, and staff through a universal model linking disability and diversity in postsecondary education.

The Disability & Diversity website has been designed to support the attainment of the Project goal. It includes training modules, resources, and Scholar innovations related to instructional strategies, curriculum design, program development, and technology.
