Disability & Diversity: A Universal Model for Success in Higher Education

- In 2003, 51% of students entering or completing postsecondary education were female (41% were male)
- In 2004, 30% of students in college were minorities compared to 15% in 1976.
- Between 2004 to 2014, the percentage of postsecondary students who are 25 and over is projected to increase by 15% compared to 11% for students under 25.
- In 2003 to 2004, 11% of undergraduates reported having a disability compared to 6% in 1995 to 1996.
The Disability & Diversity Project goal is to enhance the knowledge and skills of administrators, faculty, and staff through a universal model linking disability and diversity in postsecondary education.
The Disability & Diversity website has been designed to support the attainment of the Project goal. It includes training modules, resources, and Scholar innovations related to instructional strategies, curriculum design, program development, and technology.
